Pirates In Key West

I be sailing through the straights of Florida last week and decided to anchor at Key West and journey into town to take on supplies. What to my surprise as I be strollin down the street but I came face to face with Pirate Timothy Stitch, a professional peg-legged pirate.

He was gracious enough to let me take a few pictures of him which I posted onto my Flickr page. Pirate Stitch had a real life talking parrot on his shoulder and a real life peg leg just like one would expect from a worthy salty dog.

While strolin' 'round the town I noticed a few shops that be tailored towards Pirates that I wanted to share with you that can also be found on my Flickr page. Most of these shops had pirate t-shirts or other goods that any pirate would proud to wear.

After last Friday I headed north and am now anchored up in Virginia and am not sure if I'll be able to make it down to the Pirate's In Paradise Festival coming up at the end of the month on November 29th 2008, in Key West, FL. For those attending I hope you all have a great time!
